Table of contents

The Table of Contents gives users a complete look inside the Knowledge Base. Every article can be rated or improved by suggestions. The Table of Contents has a hierarchical folder layout so that is very simple to find what you are looking for.

Click on the Closed Folder Icon to expand a section and view sub-directories and articles
Click on the Open Folder Icon to collapse a section
Click on the Article Icon to view the article in the main window
Click on the Refresh Icon to collapse all folders, or if the folder list dissapears (typically during updates)

Most Recent Articles

The Most Recent Articles section is located at bottom of the Knowledge Base home page. It displays the most recent articles published. Clicking one of these links displays the article in the main window.

Rate an Article/Write Suggestions

At the right side of the article you have a "Rate This Article" box which allows you to rate the currently displayed article.

To rate an article:

  • Click on "Rate this article" link
  • Select rate that you find appropriate for this article. Rates are in range from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent).
  • Click on "Rate it" button submits your rate

You can also add your own comment to this specific article. In the "Suggestions" field insert your comment. Text size is unlimited. Post it by clicking on the "Submit" button.
Here you can also find all articles related to one that you are reading by selecting articles from the "Related articles" section.

Most viewed articles
At right side of Knowledge Base Home page you will find a "Most Viewed Articles section". This provides a selection of the articles most viewed by other visitors. Clicking on one of the articles will load it in the main window as normal.

Search & Top Searches
The "Top Searches" section provides you with a selection of the most frequently searched terms.


Normal searches can be performed two different ways. The first way is to simply enter phrase you think is appropriate to article you want. Clicking the "Advanced search" link provides you with options for a more refined search.

When using "Advanced Search" you have ability to find a specific article using,

  • all the words
  • the exact phrase
  • or without the words

Advanced Search can search by

  • Title only
  • Full text
  • Article ID

and by time of last update. From

  • past 3 days
  • past week
  • past month
  • past year
  • or anytime

You can also choose to list from 25 to 100 results and sort them (in normal or reverse order) by title or date.

Search Tips & Tricks


Automatic "and" Queries
Knowledge base automatically adds "AND" between your search terms. To search the Knowledge base for: "software and bug" you can just type.


Note: Knowledge base supports asterisk wildcard searches. Searching for "soft" or "soft*" will return also word like "software" or "soften".

" - " Searches

Sometimes you need to search for term that has more than one meaning; cookies can be food or cookies used with the web.

Cookies as meal can be excluded from search by putting "-" sign inform of the word "meal".


Phrase Searches

You can search for complete phrases by enclosing them in quotation marks. The Knowledge base will then search for only the exact phrase in the quotation marks.

"OR" Searches

Knowledge Base supports the logical "OR" operator. To retrieve Knowledge Base articles that contain first, second or both terms type:


Tips for Advanced Search

  • Search in - choose which part of the articles to search (Full Text, Title Only, Article ID)
  • Last updated - restrict search by time limits
  • Results - how many results will be displayed per page
  • Order by - the order the results will be displayed
